After the pandemic

Good morning; good afternoon; good evening. As you may have guessed by the title, my aim for this entry is to share with you what I hope to do after the coronavirus subsides enough for things to get back to normal. More or less. Just so I don’t forget, if you have a minute or two to spare, leave a comment about some things you would consider doing yourself. It’d be interesting to see what motivates different people to keep hanging on during this disaster.

1. First of all, I will go visit the local dog shelter. I’ve been there a handful of times, with different friends of mine, so I think that my first visit after the virus should be made alone. You know, for the sake of contrast :)

2. I will definitely meet up with people, especially people I didn’t have the chance to catch up with before the situation started escalating. Of course, I can engage in conversations over text or call, video call, even, however, as you are aware, nothing beats meeting in person.

3. I’ll go to the park. I don’t know if’s its the same around the globe, but here, they’ve closed down any and all public parks. Another thing to comment: have they closed the parks in your country/city?
But yes, my reasoning behind this is simple - I love it at the park and miss the vast exposure to nature.

4. I’ll drive around on motorbikes with people. It doesn’t matter in what manner; whether they’re on the back of my bike, I’m on the back of theirs, or we’re driving alongside one another - I’m perfectly content with anything. I long for the nighttime rides, where you are surrounded by peace and quiet at all sides, as much as I long for the afternoon rides, where we complain about burning our backsides off in the scorching heat. There are so many distinct emotions I associate with riding around, that I greatly miss experiencing.

Alright, I think that concludes my little list. May you have a wonderful day, and may I have a few more comments underneath my entries. If not under this one, then under one I compose in the future. Stay safe, everyone :)

  2. Hi there! I think your plans are really great! Especially meeting people that you didn't spend time together a lot before. I think it's really important.
Me personally I will also go to the park and go to the gym to workout! (even though I know I can workout at home but the gym motivates me more); I will also meet up with friends and maybe if they open the borders I might travel. Might. 😆

  4. Well my plan was to read and stuff but it can sometimes be overwhelming and monotonous at the same time. For now, I'm just going with the flow, if I like something, I'll do it but having to come up with things to do on your own can really be exhausting. Self-imposed imperatives sucks.

The real 'Bluggles'

Hi, everyone)). I hope you're doing well. This is an entry I was looking forward to writing for a few days now, and finally got down to it.  As we all know, every task that requires any form of effort (which is, in fact, EVERY task) has its own set of difficulties that tags along with it, no matter if we like that or not. So, I wanted to address some of the struggles I, as well as probably some of you, have come across while blogging this far. BUT, I feel like anyone can just sit down and share a few of their difficulties, therefore, I decided to also include the solutions that have worked for me in my attempts to overcome them. Right, let's get to the point :). The struggle:  Loss of motivation to write. As you may have noticed, I haven't been updating my blog as much as I did in my first two weeks of maintaining it, and that is due to the excitement and motivation to do so slowly dying down. Personally, this is one of my least favourite 'side-effects' of absol...

All about the doggies

Hello, dear readers)). I hope everyone's doing okay. This long awaited (by me) entry is going to be about the dog shelter I mentioned in one of my previous posts: https://mybluggles.blogspot.com/2020/03/after-pandemic.html?m=1 First of all, I'd like to point out the fact that I'm afraid of dogs. People don't believe me when I tell them (especially since I tend to go about petting every single doggie in my sight), but I can assure you I am. Trust me on this. Regardless of that unhandy fear, I have spent the past few months paying visits to volunteer at a dog shelter in my city. I first found out about the shelter when a good friend of mine offered to take me there with her for a day of volunteering. I agreed without any hesitation, because the idea appealed to me quite a bit. Now, I was warned that it would be noisy at the shelter, but no warning could have prepared me for the amount of noise you experience every time you set foot inside. To give you a slightly bet...

Some Positive Occurrences

Hello, welcome back :)). And of course, May the 4th be with you! :) I think this post is pretty self-explanatory; I'll be listing down some of the pleasant stuff that has taken place lately)). 1.)  I've reached a pretty decent, and somewhat unprecedented new height at baking. Or to put it simpler, I decided to challenge myself and have managed to make some nice croissants from scratch. I would have never thought that I'd be able to add this onto my list of things that I occasionally ever so slightly brag about, but here we are :). 2.)  I have FINALLY , and I will emphasise this further, FINALLY  read 'Animal Farm' by George Orwell. For years it has been THE book almost everyone automatically assumed I had read (since I enjoy my classics), and I had to go through the embarrassment of admitting that I hadn't. Honestly, I think this is the accomplishment on this list that I am most proud of. For anyone who hasn't read the book, I really recommend it. ...
