Hello, welcome back :)). And of course, May the 4th be with you! :)
I think this post is pretty self-explanatory; I'll be listing down some of the pleasant stuff that has taken place lately)).
1.) I've reached a pretty decent, and somewhat unprecedented new height at baking. Or to put it simpler, I decided to challenge myself and have managed to make some nice croissants from scratch. I would have never thought that I'd be able to add this onto my list of things that I occasionally ever so slightly brag about, but here we are :).
2.) I have FINALLY, and I will emphasise this further, FINALLY read 'Animal Farm' by George Orwell. For years it has been THE book almost everyone automatically assumed I had read (since I enjoy my classics), and I had to go through the embarrassment of admitting that I hadn't. Honestly, I think this is the accomplishment on this list that I am most proud of. For anyone who hasn't read the book, I really recommend it. It's a sensational novella, which has evoked emotions in me that no other book before it has.
3.) Right, we're back to the edible stuff with this one. I, very spontaneously, decided to make pasta from scratch for the first time in ages, and I think it came out great. The recipe I used for it was simple:
- 3 cups of flour
- 5 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
Just mix all the ingredients together, knead for about 10 minutes, and let the dough rest for 1 hour.
Afterwards, split the dough into a few equal parts (I did four), and roll each one out until you can see your hand when you pass it underneath.
Finally, cut it up into any shape you wish (I just did some wide strips) and boil for 3-4 minutes.
You're done! :)
Here's what my finished product looked like:
4.) It looks like I'm getting back into playing basketball again)). My mum and brother discovered this worn down court with one hoop near our house, so we decided to unearth our basketballs and go score a few hoops. Upon arriving yesterday afternoon we were greeted by four other players whom we played a few matches with both yesterday and today. I've missed the sport a lot, and am looking forward to the next time I am able to play with those people :)
What is something positive that has happened to you? What's a recent accomplishment of yours that you're proud of?

That was a nice pun you got at the start there😂 My most recent accomplishment is finally getting my ass together and do my work! I actually got a lot done, and feel much more satisfied now that I finished most of my work.
ReplyDeleteNow if I finish the rest I'll be able to finally finish the Harry Potter books in peace😔👊
Haha, I'm glad my pun has been appreciated :).
DeleteWell done for getting through your work. It can get awfully difficult to keep track of at times.
Yes, get that reading in!! :)))
