A typical Monday in my life

Hello, hello)). As usual, I hope everyone's doing okay. The missing entry on Sunday was intentional, as I decided that I will be aiming for one post on the weekend and, at least while I'm able to, daily posts during the week.

This entry will be a summary of my day today, and could even be perceived as somewhat of a routine. I say somewhat, because I dont't like the idea of a routine, as I'm not a big fan of monotonous activity, so I do my best to avoid falling into one. Let me know what you think of this type of post in the comments :).

My day started with an 08:30 alarm shaking all the sleep out of me. I don't wake up at ungodly hours of the morning like some people do, because I treasure my sleep (and also because I can't). If any of you wake up early, my hat goes off to you.

This picture is here for the purpose of having a nice photo next to the title of this post. Although, I have to say, that pear was delicious :)

Now, I'm not proud of this, but after I turn off my alarm I end up sitting on my phone for a duration of around least half an hour. I want to point out that I am working on this, especially given the fact that before I'd be able to stay in bed for up to two hours after waking up. Anyhow, after sitting on my phone, I decided that I wanted to read, so I opted for the closest book to me, which happened to be a collection of stories by Edgar Allan Poe, which I was very kindly given for Christmas by a lovely person). The story I landed on was called 'The Masque of the Red Death'. I could not put the book down until I was done reading it, as the story was so excellently written (Poe never fails to capture the reader). Really recommend it to anyone willing to whip out their dictionary a few times during their read). Or maybe not, depending on your level of vocabulary, but I certainly had to look up a few words.

Then I proceeded to brush my teeth, grab a hangful ofraisins to have for breakfast, and sat down for my first study session of the day (Hooray!). Since I've been homeschooled for quite a while now, there wasn't really change in my studying (unlike a lot of people who had to switvh to online learning). I selected Biology to be up first, and had a more or less pleasant two hours working on my current tasks.

Over here, you can observe me trying to get as little of my notebook page as possible, because I had stuff scribbled out there, and it didn't look nice)

Then came lunch. Lunch is always nice, as I get to have a lengthy break before I have to get on with things again.

After lunch, I was once again greeted by my trusted books for another few hours. This time I got on with a Psychology case study called 'Canli et al.' (2000). Quite an nteresting study based around a part of the brain called the amygdala, and its function in relation to emotive images and the rememberance of them. Some nice results too, so I think it's worth a read for people who are interested in Psychology and/or neurological behaviour.

I also did some reading for Literature, and I may or may not have found my 'Read of the week' for this week. Let's see :)).

Afterwards, I took a quick break to do absolutely nothing (because breaks like that are necessary, guys) and did some exercises. Before the coronavirus broke out, I used to go to hand-to-hand combat sessions led by a great coach, and among some amazing people. It really is a pity that they had to close down our place for the time being, and I'm really hoping to be able to go back soon. I already miss everything about the place.

Then, my sweet-tooth side took over, and I made brownies. No one in the house is complaining, though, so I've got a win-win situation here :).

Looks like we're just about done here. Once I'm off the laptop, I'm heading straight for the brownies (was there even any doubt in that?). I'm looking to end my evening off with some stretching and just a tad more productive work.

Overall, I think my day turned out pretty well. Everything went as planned, adn stuff got done. A pat on the back for me :). My question of the day for you today is: How are you being productive?

Take care and stay safe. I'll see you soon))

  1. I have trouble being productive, more now than ever with the quarantine and online classes are suddenly shoved into my arms. My school wasn't made for online classes, so my teachers at hmm... Inexperienced, to put it kindly. Just really makes me confused and lazy to actually do my work. How can I do them if I don't understand? I feel like writing a rant here lmao. But some of them are actually teaching us pretty good! I always finish my work on time with them.

And things always find a way to put me down, whether its little or big. So I tend to let it wash over me as I just sleep for another two to three hours maybe :') or eat. Or just stare at absolutely n o t h i n g. I'm trying to improve myself tho I swear--

That was a bit long😔 Sorry man. I have big respect for you for getting something done today!

  2. Oh no, I hope things get better for you. Not worries about the comment being long, I love long comments)).

Keep positive. I'm sure things will start making more sense soon. I think that doing what makes you happy right now is important, as well as taking time to relax :).

Don't worry if you don't feel like you're getting a lot done, take this time to rest before things get back to normal).

The real 'Bluggles'

Hi, everyone)). I hope you're doing well. This is an entry I was looking forward to writing for a few days now, and finally got down to it.  As we all know, every task that requires any form of effort (which is, in fact, EVERY task) has its own set of difficulties that tags along with it, no matter if we like that or not. So, I wanted to address some of the struggles I, as well as probably some of you, have come across while blogging this far. BUT, I feel like anyone can just sit down and share a few of their difficulties, therefore, I decided to also include the solutions that have worked for me in my attempts to overcome them. Right, let's get to the point :). The struggle:  Loss of motivation to write. As you may have noticed, I haven't been updating my blog as much as I did in my first two weeks of maintaining it, and that is due to the excitement and motivation to do so slowly dying down. Personally, this is one of my least favourite 'side-effects' of absol...

All about the doggies

Hello, dear readers)). I hope everyone's doing okay. This long awaited (by me) entry is going to be about the dog shelter I mentioned in one of my previous posts: https://mybluggles.blogspot.com/2020/03/after-pandemic.html?m=1 First of all, I'd like to point out the fact that I'm afraid of dogs. People don't believe me when I tell them (especially since I tend to go about petting every single doggie in my sight), but I can assure you I am. Trust me on this. Regardless of that unhandy fear, I have spent the past few months paying visits to volunteer at a dog shelter in my city. I first found out about the shelter when a good friend of mine offered to take me there with her for a day of volunteering. I agreed without any hesitation, because the idea appealed to me quite a bit. Now, I was warned that it would be noisy at the shelter, but no warning could have prepared me for the amount of noise you experience every time you set foot inside. To give you a slightly bet...

Some Positive Occurrences

Hello, welcome back :)). And of course, May the 4th be with you! :) I think this post is pretty self-explanatory; I'll be listing down some of the pleasant stuff that has taken place lately)). 1.)  I've reached a pretty decent, and somewhat unprecedented new height at baking. Or to put it simpler, I decided to challenge myself and have managed to make some nice croissants from scratch. I would have never thought that I'd be able to add this onto my list of things that I occasionally ever so slightly brag about, but here we are :). 2.)  I have FINALLY , and I will emphasise this further, FINALLY  read 'Animal Farm' by George Orwell. For years it has been THE book almost everyone automatically assumed I had read (since I enjoy my classics), and I had to go through the embarrassment of admitting that I hadn't. Honestly, I think this is the accomplishment on this list that I am most proud of. For anyone who hasn't read the book, I really recommend it. ...
