Good morning; good afternoon; good evening. I hope you have/had a wonderful day :)).
This evening I dragged myself out of the house to go for a nice run. Unfortunately, it is now illegal to leave your house without a face mask on, so I had to go running in mine. Being a forgetful idiot, I forgot to get a picture of it before I chucked it into the washing machine, so my bad :|
Running with a face mask on really isn’t great. The first and biggest issue is that the mask restricts your breathing making it harder to keep in steady. Yes, that may be good for cardio, but I would rather prefer to breathe normally, thank you very much. Secondly, your face sweats a lot underneath the mask. Not only that, but to make matters worse, my mask was also drenched in sweat by the time I was done with my run. And lastly, for me personally, it was quite difficult to catch my breath after I finished the run. It took me a few minutes, and eventually I had to retreat to taking the mask off.
The only positive aspect of this that comes to mind is the feeling of fitting in. Obviously, everyone else who was out this evening was also wearing a mask, so I felt like we were all part of one big group. This also brought in the feeling of security.
On a more interesting note, today my cut cut up a 1kg mango. Yes, a single monster of a mango with a weight dangerously close to being 1kg (over 970 grams). That mango was delicious:
Well, looks like we’re gonna have another short entry today)). Have you had to do exercise with a face mask on? If so, how did you find it? Take care, everyone :))).

this is a really interesting post. i've been going for runs & have to be so cautious not to go near anybody. the mango looks good!!x
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear that you're staying active too, while also taking the precautions. It can be a bit of a challenge during times like these :))
ReplyDeleteThat mango looks unnaturally massive.. and green! Haha. Aren't green mangoes sour? It looks quite young. And I never exercised with a mask on. I would probably faint :')
ReplyDeleteI was shocked when I first saw that mango. I didn't realise that the fact that the mango is green would be surprising for some; they're very much normal for us here. It's soft and sweet on the inside, just like the yellow mangoes :). I would even say I prefer these green mangoes in this matter)
DeleteWhen I started reading this, I thought you meant a face mask as in the beauty treatment aha, but then I realised. That's crazy that you have to wear the masks! It's good for your safety though!!
ReplyDeleteThat mango looks huge!!
Oh no, haha. I don’t think I’d want to go running with one of those on๐.
DeleteI’m pleased to say that another one of those mangoes got eaten today :)
